Mahjong…. Or at least the version I played

The Objective

In my version of mahjong a player is given a puzzle shape comprised of the above tiles. The player must then systematically take apart the puzzle. Easy? No. As the rules state that the only way to remove a tile is if you can match it to a tile of the same type or set and both tiles must be at the edge of a segment so you cannot just match any two tiles on any part of the board.

Thoughts

At first i wont deny the thoughts i had of being perplexed why anybody would play this and my resistance to snapping my keyboard over my knee for entertainment was forthcoming but as i relaxed into the game and started to honestly try complete the puzzle i had quite a riveting time. By no means is this an easy game, it takes patience and skill and honestly the online rules are more complex and took longer for me to understand then mechanics behind wave-length and light. Yet once i found an appropriate set of rules and actually played, i was entranced.

All in all this game is hard to get into due to people not being able to decide how to play it properly but is a lot more calming and less stressful then my previous attempt at having my life drained away by a master level chess a.i
